Narrative

I've been out sick for two days. We spent today attending to the mapping and collection of the loci E601, E618, and E606 EB floor materials. After clearing of the backdirt and plastic we laid out a mapping grid with chaining pins and string. As I mapped the extant materials Adam and Ruben shot point proveniences for several vessels as well as the trench datum located on the southern LB shrine wall.We continued to clean the spaces around the EB terrace wall (E616), namely loci E606, E617, and E615 where ceramic frequencies are moderate and wall E616 appears to be continuing south to the trench wall.Mapping and collecting the EB floor materials (floor locus E618) has resulted in the creation of several additional sherd scatter loci (E619 and E621) as well as a separate locus for the oven (E620). After photographs we pulled the sherds and packed them into bags and boxes. It became clear during the sherd collection that the majority of the sherds scatters penetrated approximately 5cm into the locus E618 floor. Numerous others are clearly still embedded in the floor and will be collected as E618 ceramics.
