6/21/06Both Adam and Ruben visited Tsaghkahovit today. I spent the day starting in locus 8 and bringing locus 6 down to the level of the bottom of locus 7, since the light brown matrix of locus 6 continued deeper than we had initially excavated yesterday. I closed locus 6 at the end of the day, when Adam and I were able to trace the boundaries of a new matrix - a very packed, lighter brown silt with patches of a darker silt and lenses of a yellowish clay. This will become locus 9 tomorrow. It's taking a very long time to excavate and clear locus 8.
