6/28/06 It was another wet day in the field today. Although we managed to work through the entire day, we had to take cover for about half an hour. The sun eventually came out again, and we stayed later to try and make up lost time from the past few days. But still have three hours to make up. Because of the rain, it was still impossible to work in WSH. So instead we completed the removal of topsoil from WSG and started a new locus, locus 2, in this operation. Locus 2 is the first wash level just below topsoil and it covers the area inside room G. Found one small find in this locus, a small blue biconical glass bead. The trench is on a slope. Tried to get the workers to even things out by digging a little deeper towards the southeast. The three walls of this trench are already visible, in some areas up to two courses. It looks as though the doorway or opening seen in room H continues in the westerly direction through the next room, since the walls there also seem to stop short of closing off the room. In room WSI we continued to remove topsoil today, but didn't finish. Large room.
