6.23.06, We're excavating a 5x10m trench along the east side of the Gegharot fortress. Trench is laid out along N/S/E/W lines. Its set to catch one meter of a possible exterior wall and an interior room which appears to be visible from the surface. We took 2 datum points--w and n. We're removing top soil and will continue in the following day.
