06.30.06 Today we focused on the darker soil area on the western edge of T16 and were rewarded with more ceramics and bones than we had been finding in the rest of Locus 114. Also found a large shoulder blade bone and possibly a burned brick, but it's not fully exposed yet, so too soon to tell. I also worked on Locus 113, where we might have found a clay floor inside the east-west EB wall. The soil is still puzzling, a mix of clay and charcoal and a sandy soil. After cleaning some clay off rocks actually against the south baulk, we removed two floating rocks and found a large EB sherd and a strange beehive-shaped formed rock.In T19, the guys are working on leveling the western 2/3 of the trench, and I'm in there more often now, making decisions on rocks to keep and rocks to throw. Brought my mp3 player today, and everyone seemed to enjoy it.
