7.1.06, We're taking locus 5 and 4 down today to see if perhaps they're the same locus. Locus 4 is very uneven, so we're using the shovel to go down about 4-10 cm, depending on the region. This morning, we're also removing a lot of rocks. The walls of the structure continue to puzzle us. It's hard to say if they're from a later occupation or this one. We're taking down the NE corner to see if the N wall connects with the one that runs across n/s the trench. We're taking locus 4 down to the same height as locus 5, which was originally created because of the slope of the hill. The N wall is looking pretty doubtful as a wall. We're also beginning to find some Early Bronze ceramics throughout the trench.
