7.6.06 Today we finally broke through the topsoil in T19 and got to create a new locus, locus 3. It consists of some suspiciously straight rocks which appear to be architecture, and a lighter soil, plus bedrock. It may be an LB wall set partly into bedrock. THere were some LB sherds found near it, though the overall amount of material was quite small. In T16, I created another new locus, locus 116, which is 'inside' the E/W EB wall near the S baulk. It combines locus 105 and 110, though not 113, which is the westernmost portion and which had all the charcoal and the diagonally-placed rocks. There was not much material to come out of this new locus, but it's not finished yet and will hopefully provide a good look at the walls of the area. Haik also cleaned up the SW corner of the trench and looked at the last few rocks that were discovered in the N/S line along the western edge of the trench. These too were immediately pedestaled and removed, leaving what appears to be no hope in this area for a continuation of the wall from T2E.
