Narrative

7/7/2006 Today started out miserably. It was overcast and fridigly cold, but by lunch time it had turned into a beautiful and sunny day. I started the day working in locus 7 of WSG and locus 2 of WSI. Also continued down in the area of the doorway between room G and room H. Started a new locus here, WSG locus 8, which is equivalent to WSH locus 17 (since the area crosses both operations). The matrix of this locus was a packed light tan brown clay, clearly the floor of the passageway. Also resumed in the clean, medium brown silt of WSH locus 13 today. After finishing in locus 13, spent some time removing fallen rocks scattered across the interior of the room. Will continue with locus 13, 14, 15, and 16 in this operation tomorrow. Ruben and Adam were on site today, (along with Giulio and Dima). We discussed the unclear architectural situation across the operations, particularly the southeast wall of WSI. Agreed that I should extend WSH to the north, to find the internal face of the northwest wall to this room. Was very pleased to have the Gegharot crew visit late in the day.
