8.7.06 WE cut down the norhtwest half of WSC3, trying to reveal the more clayey soil. The very western corner has been revealed and better cleaned, showing a fairly large number of smaller rocks. It might be a doorway, but it sort of looks like there is are some larger courses below the small cobbley rocks. It could just be that this area is not well preserved and the large boulders have been lost. In the eastern corner, we uncovered a couple large rocks that are built into the wall but which jut out from the face of the wall. They have clay adhering to them on their faces and in their interstices, but it's not yet clear whether they are actually deliberately plastered.
