7/45/06 A hot and uneventful day today. Worked only in WSH locus 30 and WSI locus 19. In WSH, the remainder of the floor that we are digging along the southeast is an extremely packed matrix and thus far nearly sterile. The matrix ranges from a packed tanish clay to a black sand. Will finish with this tomorrow morning. Just as WSH winds down, WSI is getting interesting. We're clearly just above the floor in this locus. Material quantities are high, and there's a large protrusion of the packed white and orange clay against the middle of the southeast wall. Some sherds of a pot were found in situ, but not enough to keep in place for photography. Hopefully that we'll be ready to trowel down the floor in room I by Friday. I'll be at Tsikar tomorrow.
