8.5.06, The area in locus 24 is very rocky and so its difficult to dig there. We're taking down the area near the fortress wall--removing rocks and cleaning them, then removing them again. We're making great progress in locus 26, but that's probably because we can use shovels in this locus. We're also cleaning all the rocks in 26, trying to get a nice angle for the final photo of the pithos jar. The goal is to get it all cleaned for the photo and get to a good stopping point for the excavation. I think once we level out 24, we'll be done there. Othere than ceramics, there have been no other significant finds. There is very little bone and obsidian.
