Today we expanded T20 5m to the north, creating a new 5x8 trench, #22. We removed topsoil all day, mostly without any sort of dirt-carrying device. The slope in this new trench is sharper than the slope was in T20, and so after the topsoil was removed, I decided to take it down by halves, so that it becomes a little more level and easier to work. The guys began work on taking the western half of the trench down by 10 cm, but we did not finish. All in all, though, it was a quite productive day, considering we removed all the topsoil and began work beneath it. The locus remains #1 for now, as there is no evident change in the soil nor anything particularly significant found. We did find a groundstone in the topsoil, and we also found a number of pieces of obsidian, as well as both EB and LB ceramics.
