Narrative

06.30.2008 We continued to clean off locus 2 of Ar/Ts.BC12.B06, clearing off the black earth and working through the lighter yellow brown to clean the rocks. The areas between the larger rocks that were visible from the surface have been filled in with lower rocks and it seems pretty clear that there is a square-ish stone lined chamber underneath the two large (cap)stones in the center of the cromlech. What has become less clear is the relationship between what appears to be the main ring of the cromlech and the areas to the south and west of it. In both cases there are semicircles of rocks that may be side chambers to the main cromlech but are both lower than the tallest stones in the center. Tomorrow I will have the team continue working and I will work on drawing the cromlech--locus 3.
