We continued to clean AB1 today and completely removed the plastic covering the 2006 unexcavated portion. Tomorrow we will begin excavating that portion as locus 11 and screening. In AB2 we reached bedrock in patches along the south trench wall, as expected, and hope to clarify the situation tomorrow, splitting the trench into two halves: one of bedrock (S) and one possibly containing the continuation of the AB1 wall into AB2 (and the potential floor continuation as well). The trench would resemble AB1 in almost mirror format with the wall curving from northwest to southeast instead of northeast to southwest. We will acquire buckets tomorrow and order a wheelbarrow for the increasing dirt volume.
