Today we continued to descend in the noth half of AB2, now denoted as locus 6. The work remained rocky and difficult, but did not (yet?) approach the 90% rocky levels of the southern AB loci. Towards the end of the day we uncovered a level of clayey silt roughly corresponding to the silty locus 12 across the baulk in AB1--the fill above the north terrace bedrock floor. This matrix imediately appeared to be densely filled with artifacts, may lying flat, unlike their counterparts in the higher, rockier terrace deposits.
