Took Lauren to airport then went to Gegharot. Rain at Tsakahovit ended work at lunch.
At Gegharot, Trench T2b and c are proving to be quite confusing. The stratigraphy and ceramics suggest Ian has uncovered an EBA floor. But we are above the LBA floor of the room that Jane dug in 2000. What could cause this inverted stratigraphy? It appears that trench 2b has just missed the continuation of the T2 LBA wall. So we must extend the trench to catch. Only when we understand the construction will the stratigraphy make sense. We have found the wall in 2c and will work to open it.
In T5 and 8, at the base of the slope, Armine has found 2 parallel terrace walls but no level. Materials are 90% EBA. T6 is closed at bedrock without results. T7 further up slope continues to be ambiguous as to its origins w/ roughly equal LB and EB.
Rain at 3:15.
