It was a wet and cold day today. We spent the first part of the day excavating the wash of locus 08, where the quantity of materials was quite low. In the afternoon, we turned to excavating locus 06, the rocky area alongside the northeast wall. Materials picked up in this area, particularly ceramics. Several (smaller) fallen rocks were removed. The trench remained wet all day because of last night's rains, so it was not possible to trowel in the area of locus 07, to further clarify the situation with the semi-aligned rocks. Hopefully tomorrow. Also, the jumble of rocks in the south corner has expanded since excavating locus 08. It is by now clear that many rocks in the area can be removed. Tomorrow if the trench is dryer, we'll turn our attention to breaking and removing the few very large rocks toward the center of the room.
