Narrative

06.27.2008. It is the first day of excavations of this trench, luckily in good weather. It's a question about a trench of 5 x 8 meters, which has been numbered T23, in the north of T21. Because of the presence of big and large stones, the trench has been shifted two meters (compared to T21). After the choice of the trench, the limitation by white thread and the photograph taking, the excavation of trench began, when Mitchell Rothman was visiting the site. The goal of this first day was to remove the locus 1 (topsoil). The surface of T23 is sloping and covered with a dozen stones which are visible. One large stone is on the right side of the surface, the other stones are widespread in the other sides of the surface. After trying to remove the topsoil, the lower side seem to be more solid (presence of wall ?). From the topsoil some mixed Early and Late Bronze Age sherds have been found. Most of the sherds are small sized, excepted one of Late Bronze Age. In the lower side of the trench, three arranged stones revealed a curve. Nearby of this curve structure only Early Bronze pottery has been found.
