07.01.2008. Fifth day of excavations. In good weather we continued removing the topsoil essentially on the upper side. Some irregular stone structures have been revealed. The stones which were isolated have been removed. A lot of LB sherds have been found, mixed with three sherds of EB. On the upper side the stones are not directly on the natural rock, but 20-25cm up, with earth between. This strange arrangement shows that probably a lot of stones of the upper side have been felt (from a wall or from the top of the hill).The color of soil is different in the upper side compared with the lower side. In the upper side the soil is dark brown and black (except the bedrock which is yellow), while in the lower side it is yellow-light brown.
