Yet again, it rained last night and the trench is wet. Started the day in locus 08 (the never-ending dark earth deposit). Yet more fallen stones appeared in this area. We removed some and broke two massive stones. Also started to remove the rocks in the south corner of the operation. We had guests this afternoon -- John Cherry, Jen Gates-Foster, and Elissa Faro. Spent much of the morning cleaning the interior of the walls.
