Today was a short day in T22, as the morning wind made it difficult to work; I sent the guys to work in Samuel's and Kate's trenches, staying behind to draw by myself. I brought the guys back when the sun came out and the wind died a little, and we begin digging the S and E corneres, where I am finding very mottled soil that may be outlining the end of the clay basin. However, there is also a melted patch of clay on the basin that might also be sort of the bleeding end of it. Aram found the next floor in the S corner, so we are excited about finding it elsewhere in the room, but so far not. After lunch, while troweling was possible, screening was absolutely not, and so I sent the guys again to other trenches while I caught up on my field notes, watched Hasmik draw, and then worked myself in Kate's trench. Frustrating day.
