RB and I at Gegharot this morning to do mapping and supervise rock removal in T2b. Ian has cleaned T2 so 2000 floor is visible. In T2b we have extended the trench to the East in order to catch the continuation of the curving LBA wall. With the large stone removed we can now proceed here. In T2c, we have caught the continuation of the wall and found EBA behind it and LBA in front-similar to T2. We are cleaning the SE corner of T2 in order to clarify the stratigraphy of the EBA level.
In Trench T8, Armine has best evidence yet of EBA settlement. A single wall parallel w/ the one in T5. On the East side, wall backs onto Bedrock. But on the west, a second facing wall made of small stones was built against first, like a room wall against a terrace wall. Floor-if it exists-is thin.
