Today was a little crazy, as we were working in Locus 16 again in T22, but the workers from T19 were also in T20, working at cleaning the trench up, removing rocks, etc. so that Hasmik can draw the architecture. We cut T16 down and found that the ceramic that was peeking through yesterday was another bowl, rather smaller than the two that are standing next to each other. But super-significantly, we found the clay basin in which all of this lies. One could call it a pit, but because it appears to be entirely lined with clay, and it is also shallow, it seems more like a basin set at an oblique angle than a pit per se. Behind the basin we are beginning to find bedrock, so it may be the case that the pit was dug into the bedrock, lined, and then filled. We have to finish digging behind it in order to tell.
