The trench was dry today so we resumed work in the interior. Will continue to work on locus 02 in the future, perhaps after the next rain. Today I created a new locus along the northeast third of the trench, locus 11. In the course of excavating this locus, we exposed another course of the northeast wall. I suspect that this will be the last locus above the floor in this area (assuming the floor is preserved). The matrix is a medium brown silt that is a bit clayish and rocky (with small stones). In areas, I'm seeing clay lenses and what appear to be dark patches of soil rich in organic materials.
