2008-07-22. Tuesday. this morning we continued taking back locus 107, which now lies between the western LB walls and the north baulk. I also started taking down 4-5 cm of locus 112 with a trowel, defining the stones in the EB wall and picking up some sherds as i went across. workers started taking down the section of locus 108 which remains on the south side of the wall. a C14 sample was taken from here, a fair sized lump of charcoal. in locus 112 i found more burned soil and somce small quantities of charcoal. meanwhile, the bone and sherd count from locus 107 decreased today, though i fear this might be operator error. in any case, progress was made on the locus and i seriouly hope to be finished tomorrow, at which point i will start taking points and drawing the north baulk section.
