Narrative

RB, ATS, PA at Tsakahovit.
C5: Removing late wall and bringing entire extension of trench down to Stratum 2 (floor above LBA level). During this cleaning we have found a number of interesting small finds including a small spoon with parallels in Artik cemetery and 2 spindle whorls--one of which with a nice garland decoration.
C3: Area D, defining the series of pits and clay constructions that litter our LBA level. Slow going but it seems that we have at least three pits in this area circumscribed by clay constructions identical to those in area A. Area B, working in extension to define the main "palace" wall and the uncertain offshoots that run perpendicular to it. Also cleaning in the area against the external face in B.
ET1: trying to define the other face of the wall that we discovered in the original small trench. The area is littered with rocks so going is difficult. I think that we have found a floor of packed clay but Belinda suggests this may be a result of trampling over the last few days, not of a real floor.
