We got rained out today after about 11, so I only completed block 5A and half of 5B. Will likely redo 5B tomorrow rather than have two halves of the block on two separate data files. Today's mag file is 10sstlmt.wg (should probably change the file name to reflect the ELT grid instead of the south settlement grid, but I'm renaming the raw data files anyway once they're in the computer). When post-processing the data this evening I noticed that the GEM Link software does not import the negative Y values in the raw data, though in the field the instrument tracks the negative stations just fine. This means I have to create a formula in Excel to multiply the Y value column by -1 which is annoying. Need to tell GEM to fix this in the software. Not very good internet access this year so I'll have to write them about this when I get back from the field. I also started separating all the data blocks from each grid into individual Excel files to run them through Surfer again, rather than amassing each hectare grid into one giant file. The resolution of the hillshades is much cleaner.
