This unit was placed on the southwestern slope of Gegharot based on mag data from the 2017 season. The operation consists of a 2x5m unit, situated approximately 10m south of the northern most part of the survey grid. Based on the survey data, we hope to catch a NE - SW terrace wall and some sort of associated floor contexts. The survey revealed a number of anomalies, some of which were linear features and others more circular in form. LK: Note that the below coordinates and elevations were measured with the GNSS, which gives elevation readings that appear to be almost exactly 147m lower than those of the total station. In order to maintain the relative positions of the trenches at Gegharot, 147m was added to the GNSS elevations, and it is these "corrected" figures that are provided below.
