This is the area of the clay surface in the N and E quadrants of WSC3. The clay surface is uneven in elevation, with the highest point in the SE corner, where there is a very large bedrock chunk. The clay surface is yellow and somewhat mottled, but rather more uniform than mottled in color. It i very fine. There are some dark specks. The border is 2.77 m on the NE side and 4.3 m on the SE side, but it is not a rectangle. From the point 2.77 m N of the E corner, the exposed surface runs more or less diagonally to the SW until it straightens out 1.3 m N of the SE wall and 1.5 m from the edge of the locus. The edge of the locus is one half of the room. Elevations are taken from the approx center of the locus. One radiocarbon sample.
