This is the topsoil locus for T22. The soil is brown and uniform. Finds include pieces of obsidian, but also EB and LB ceramics, and some bone. The surface finds do not seem to be of a high density, and certainly are mixed. Also found included a groundstone and a fairly large chunk of charcoal, which I sampled, though I am dubious as to its date. It was close enough to the surface to suggest that it was perhaps from a beer party in the 1980s. This topsoil layer includes the extension of the trench toward the W.
