Place: Ar/Ge.T22.38

This locus was created when Locus 17 began to be dug down for the end of the season photos. Its extent is coincident with Locus 17, which was eventually flattened to match the bottom elevation of where Locus 19 lay, i.e., lower than 17, so that the entire central room would be one height. The width and length given are at the greatest extents, but it should be remembered that the shape of this locus wraps around the central feature of the room and is more like a rectangle with a triangular addition high on its left side. The area was calculated keeping the actual shape in mind. The elevations for this locus, particularly the bottom elevation, should be remembered as central elevations. At the end of this season, the room was essentially flattened to one level, but it was not dug to bedrock all the way around the pit (Locus 39), so this will probably need to be accomplished in a later season.
