Locus 5 is below the capstones and within the chamber. It is a mottled clay matrix, varying in color and with gravel and cobble inclusions. It is also very wet. It seems to be mainly clay and sticky. In some ways it resembles the bedrock with the black gravel inclusions, but wet it seems to be more clay. So far there is one bone still in situ. It is animal--possibly a scapula(?).
