This locus captures the lowest level of the WB ramp and is just 15 or so cm above the bottom elevation of locus 49. Regard this as the same cultural deposit as loci 48, 49, 54, 55, 56. Matrix is the same silty clay. The locus bottomed out toward the southwest in the usual clay prep surface while toward the northeastern half of this small locus, the silty clay matrix of the floor seems to continue down. Do we have a pit here? Will wait to see what appears after excavating the rest of the WB ramp.
