This locus runs parallel to locus 92, just to the southeast. As with loci 65 and 92, with this locus we are excavating the lowest reaches of the floor of the room (or the lowest floors) down to the natural bedrock, which is here composed of both basalt and sterile orange clay deposits. One very large depression alongside the flagstone floor in this locus, though hard to describe as a pit in so far as it doesn't so much seem to be worked. A dark silty clay deposit continues in this "pit" to such a depth that we didn't have time to finish excavating it. The bottom elevation where we stopped in this area of locus 94 is 2139.449.
