This locus covers the southeastern sector of the interior of the room--the space between the east and south corner features. It is comparable to loci 65, 92, and 94--the level beneath the final floor in the room. Once again, the locus is covered with depressions and perhaps pits--a large basin-like depression just adjacent to the northeast wall, and a series of smaller pits alongside the south feature. The matrix is once again the dark and medium tannish to brown clay that we have been encountering across the lower reaches of this room. And as elsewhere, the locus ends in either bedrock masses or the sterile orange clay. We found large sherds of the same storage vessel discovered in the pit of locus 57. The elevations provided above where just atop the bedrock, where there was scarcely anything to excavate. But for comparison, note that the bottom elevation at the bottom of the basin like element adjacent to the southeast wall is 2140.089. Unfortunately, no time to screen this locus. It was dug on the last two days of the season and we were still recovering from the heavy rains of 8/8.
