This locus in the northeast half of the operation underneath locus 2 was created because the removal of the overburden was uneven. For complete elevations see notebook; above is elevation from center point. This locus covers the northern and eastern corners of the trench and is made of the same dark, loamy soil as Locus 2 which covered it. The locus contained a substantial amount of rockfall in the northern area of the trench; see notebook for sketch; this was removed on 7/8/10, after which the Locus was closed and Locus 7 declared underneath it.
