This locus, in the western corner of WSAC, lies underneath Locus 7 and is the remaining area of darker, more loamy soil in the trench. See notebook for sketch and elevations. The locus is delimited on the southern side by the wheelbarrow ramp, and on the northern by a collection of rocks, likely from fallout, that separate this locus from the clay/organic rich/mottled matrix of Locus 11 in the rest of the trench.
