This locus constitutes the bottom of Locus 21 in WSAD, a hardpacked, mottled brown clayish matrix that extends and is at the same level as the paved floor in WSAD in the northern and eastern corners. The matrix is highly mottled, and includes yellow and reddish clays, and seems to both cover and abut Locus 29, the paved floor, as well as Feature 16, the linear stone feature. Closed 8/11/10 after excavating a large pit in the northern corner. Bottom elevation given here is closer to Feature 16 in eastern corner.
30/6/11 KK- I have labeled this as stratum 3 because it is at the same level as the paved floor in WSAD which at this time is believed to be Iron III.
