A pit in the floor in Locus 31, east of the wall (locus 46). The pit is somewhat irregular in shape (a triangle with rounded edges). The pit is lined with rocks on the eastern side and is cut into the bedrock. The pit fill is a tan sandy silty loam, with chunks of clay in it, which are perhaps remains of a floor laid over the pit. I took a portion of the fill in the upper half of the pit as a macrobotanical sample (Ar/Ge.T31.42.MB.01). Halfway down, the fill changed to a medium brown sandy silty loam with low gravel inclusions. I took another macrobotanical sample (Ar/Ge.T31.42.MB.02).
