E202 is the ashy/burnt layer of the baulk between T2E and T2C. Similar stratigraphic level to locus 8 in T2E. A large amount of charcoal presumably from burnt beams appear consistently throughout this layer as was attested in the adjacent area on the other side of the baulk in T2E. 2 C14 samples taken: +2284.642 m. Large pieces of smashed storage vessels also present lying amidst the ashes and burnt clay. We collected the pieces and labeled them as belonging to at least one vessel in order to facilitate reconstruction. Finds previously designated "Ian's Missing Loci" sans official locus have been subsumed into E202.
