Lowest stratum of the original 3 x 6 m trench, bounded at the northeast-baulk by the trio of cyclopean stones that may have been faced. Locus 7 is located directly below locus 6.
Soil is orange-brown, larger-grained, and contains small bits of broken basalt. This is typical of the type of soil that covers bedrock at Tsaghkahovit.
