Locus 8 is a 1 meter extension of the 3 x 6 m trench. With the establishment of locus 8, ET2 becomes a 3 x 7 m trench.
The extension lies beyond the wall foundations previously at the end of the 6 m of ET2. It was established in order to find out whether more stones were underneath the 3 large boulders that appear now to be a tumbled part of the wall system.
Locus 8 represents the soil and finds from the surface down to the bottom, at approximately 1 m. There were no stones beneath the three large boulders.
