I created Locus 07 to even out the area in the NW part of the trench, since the trench is on a slope and Locus 2 (the previous locus in this area) did not completely level the locus after the sod was removed. Bisecting the trench, rather than spreading the locus across the trench was done to manage archaeological materials.The locus is adjacent to locus 8 and bordered by the NW wall and the NE wall with the balk along the SW edge. The soil here is dark, coffee colored (dark roast). I found no small finds here and took no charcoal samples or soil samples.
