This locus is located in the western half of the trench. It is bordered by the NE and NW walls and adjacent to locus 11. I decided to go down 10 cm (about) to find a soil change in the western half of the trench. The medium brown soil near the walls seems to be concentrated in the center of the trench at the top (NE wall) of this locus. We removed 1 boulder from Locus 12 near the NW wall (see drawing from July 03, 2013. As we finished digging this locus, I noted the soil became very rocky. I created this locus bisecting the trench to manage archeaological materials and because the dimensions fall at natural breaks in the locus (NW wall, NE wall, balk, and line of rocks bisecting the trench North to South. This locus has no context. No small finds, no charcoal samples, and no soil samples were taken out of this locus.
