I created locus 20 to level the NE part of the trench with the flagstone floor found in locus 19. Locus 20 is located north of locus 19 and within the interior walls of the room including the NE wall and the NW wall. I found charcoal in this locus and I feel this is a good indication, besides the flagstone floor found in locus 19, that I am near the floor level. I screened this locus and designated it as a stratum 3 Loci. This locus will make the entire trench floor level and reveal 3 courses of the wall. The soil is light brown silt. It is rocky, possibly from bedrock. As we continued to dig this locus, I became increasingly convinced that this was the floor based on what appeared to be bedrock. I broke a boulder in the NE part of the trench in locus 20. I found a possible storage container in this locus that is very diagnostic of Iron 3.
