This locus extends along the east side of the trench, to a width of 1 meter. It was created because it is the only area of the operation that is not entirely covered with rocks, so there is some possibility for digging to assess what rocks can be removed. The deposit is a dark brown soil. Material densities are quite high for such a small area--full ceramics bag. The center elevation (top) is 31.5cm b.d. 2, bottom is 1.09 bd 1.
