This small locus is situated in the northeast corner of the trench, just where the two wall stones meet to form the corner. I created it for the same reason as locus 2: the small area seemed to be less rocky then elsewhere so I thought we could get a profile view on some of the rocks in the interior of the operation. But it didn't take long to bottom on more rocks. The matrix was a dark brown clean soil. Top elevation of this locus is 44cm b.d. 1. Bottom elevation is 61cm b.d. 1.
