This locus occupies the same footprint as locus 17, but is now the packed clay of the floor (corresponding spatially to locus 15). In places, the matrix of this locus was the gravely medium brown silt. Difficult to spatially distinguish the packed clay of the floor from the medium clayey silt. We excavated this locus to bring it level with the bottom of locus 16, so that the subfloor deposits could be excavated across the entire interior (apart from the area of locus 14). Top elevation is 1.44 bd 1 and bottom elevation is 1.55 bd 1.
