Remarks

Locus 07 refers to the cromlech architecture in the north western part of trench 1. It appears to be a standard cromlech, although it nay be uneven. Locus 3 may be the center, or it may have just had a stone turned on its side. Consequently we removed 9 stones from inside the obvious circular cromlech. It should be clear as we excavate which were actually capstones, but the measurements are as follows:
C1: 65 x 55 x 28 cm
C2: 73 x 45 x 56 cm
C3 : 92 x 85 x 40 cm
These first three were in the eastern part of the cromlech and formed locus 3. C3 was the large triangular/pyramidal stone that may have been turned on its side or may be a capstone "plug". It was measured when flat, but stood 90degrees from what is here so that the longest measurement was perpendicular to the surface.
C4: 67 x 42 x 39 cm
C5: 52 x 25 x 26 + 69 x 38 x 26 cm (broken in two during removal)
These two capstones were to the west within the cromlech circle
C6: 72 x 56 x 43 cm
This stone was to the south
C7: 74 x 38 x 38 cm
C8: 56 x 72 x 49 cm
C9: 53 x 66 x 41 cm
These stones were all in the northern part within the cromlech circle. C8 was above the others and not a capstone.
