Remarks

Locus 5 is the cromlech construction in the western part of Trench 01 (burial 01). This cromlech is a "bedrock" cromlech in the typology, incorporating natural basalt outcrops. Locus 5 appears to have been built between bedrock, consequently(?) there is no clear cromlech ring. There appears to be a cist chamber visible, with an interior measuring 0.99m E-W and 0.79m N-S. However it is possible that a large rock on the western edge of this area is actually a capstone. There appears to be a ring of about 5 X rocks extending to the west around the cist chamber and between bedrock. I am not clear if the line of rocks inn the northern side are also part of the ring. Between both the northern rocks and the western ring and the (apparent) cist walls, cobbles and small rocks fill the area. On the southern and part of the eastern sides the chamber abutts bedrock.

Elevations:
W large rock with the highest point (used for elevation): -42cm
W most rock of the cromlech "ring": -65cm
N rock (built or bedrock?): -71
